Alfreds Rowing Club
Senior Rowing Club for Men and Woman.
The Alfred Rowing Club was established in 1864 and was housed under the pier at Table Bay. It was named after Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, who visited the Cape in the 1860. It is the oldest organised sporting club in South Africa
Saxons Rowing Club
Saxon Rowing Club Rows...
at Zeekoei vlei.Saxons have amalgamated with Alfreds Rowing Club, Saxons Rowing Club was orginally establsihed in the 1800's and was not consistantly bieng supported. The club was re-established several years ago.
Elgin Rowing Club
Operates out of the Elgin Country...
Club venue. Elgin Rowing Club colours (trisuit) are shown in the following picture of the victorious ladies IV+ at the 2005 SA Champs at Roodeplaat: Eikenhof Dam is particular picturesque. It is situated in a region well known for it's apple farming and, increasingly, wine farms: Elgin Rowing Club is the venue for several of our 2000 metres races.
