School Rowing in the Western Cape
South African College School (SACS)
Once again showed they are a class...
above domestic opposition when they out performed the other South African school crews at the Old Mutual Schools Boat Race in Port Alfred and at the South African Rowing Championships. SACS has a hoghly organizzed rowing infrastrucuture. and is the first Western Cape rowing school to win First Eights.

What seems to be simply pulling an oar through water is in reality a far more complex interaction of so many things: technique, strength, stamina, teamwork and, most importantly, mental toughness. It is vitally important to understand that the sport places high demands on the boys in terms of their time and commitment as well as their physical and mental ability. Rowing is TOUGH!!.

improve under the expert coaching of Nick Park-Ross and as the pool of senior rowers is strong with competition for seats in both the open four and eight.. Ronedbosch u16 rowers are looking strong and are looking forward to good things in the newnext years. This strength bodes well for next years first crew.
